How well has the fund done as compared to that diversified index it’s supposed to track, or VT? That should give us a good idea whether Stoltenberg is correct that the divestments are leaving money on the table, or if he’s just covering a reaction to political pressure.

I actually agree with this article. The fund should be able to keep the holdings however it wants, but it should own the decisions. Disbanding an ethical recommendation board is erasing institutional accountability, taking away a tool for citizens to examine governance. Also, ending an independent board with clear guidelines will just give ground to the activist class, the issue does not go away.
