I do believe that things like the Boy Scouts moving to allow girls into their membership (while Girl Scouts of course would never consider allowing boys to join) is an example of what some men and boys complain about regarding the so-called “masculinity crisis”. The sense that there can no longer be male-centric spaces, these all must become egalitarian and open to anyone, while everyone who is not a white man can continue to have their exclusionary groups. Hell, the Freemasons allow women to join now.
Not necessarily agreeing, but an observation anyway.

Scouts has been co-ed internationally for a long time. US was one of the last places it was single-gender.

It used to be that for the Army if you were an Eagle Scout you could come in as an E3 instead of an E1. I guess making that an option available to young women as well is a travesty to Pete
