Depending on the kids background, but at least how I grew up we were told kids under 15 weren’t allowed to fast, so this seems more to whip up furor than actually address anything real. That being said, I do have some overzealous family who have young children who volunteered to fast and were celebrated (as opposed to when I grew up, we’d be told to wait until we were older).

The senators didn’t elaborate on how exactly enforcement of this works. Are they going to forcefeed the kids?

I have no problem with countries banning dumb religious practices.
I have a problem with countries very obviously choosing only certain religions to persecute.
