Once you have all the money anyone could ever want, the next thing people chase is influence & control.
That’s why extremely wealthy individuals end up owning media companies or getting involved in politics, it’s not about money anymore, it’s about shaping narratives and steering the world the way they want it.
Pretty sure people “say a word” a lot about this very topic. It’s not a big conspiracy. From Citizen Kane to Rupert Murdoch, owning the flow of information is lucrative.
