Trump is doing a great job on illegal immigration.
Legal immigration needs to be addressed in several areas and Trump is working on them nicely.
The way I would approach legal immigration is that you are not qualified for any government assistance until you become a US citizen (and make that route more difficult).
And you can’t immigrate to the USA until you can prove that you have enough funds to accommodate $3000/month for at least 2-5 years. (This is closer to alignment with other first-world nation immigration policies).
As for H1-Bs, the employer has to pay $100,000/per year per employee to keep them here.
That would solve most legal immigration issues.

Everything is downstream from immigration. There’s no point being “fiscally conservative, socially liberal” if it results in importing dozens of millions of people who vote as a bloc against fiscal conservativism.
