Why was Catholic Pope’s official audience hall in the Vatican designed to look like a snake’s head?

Interestingly, in Genesis the serpent is the one who tells the truth…

God says, “In the day you eat of it you will surely die,” yet they don’t die that day.

The serpent says, “You will not surely die… your eyes will be opened” and that is exactly what happens (Genesis 3:4-7).

This fits the pattern Jesus and Paul describe: the deceiver sits in the “temple” the human mind… blinding people so they mistake the false voice for God (2 Corinthians 4:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

The story itself shows that the voice we trust can determine whether we see truth or remain blind.
