I’d go even further and legalize the buying and selling of organs. That would dramatically increase the number of available organs for patients and help the poor financially. You can sell one of your kidneys for $20,000 and be able to buy a car.

We can already 3D print things like ears and bladders using patient stem cells. If we allowed it to be pursued we could probably be cloning hearts and livers in 20 to 30 years.
I’m not opposed to people being allowed to sell their organs or being otherwise incentivized to make living donations, especially in the short term, but this is an issue that can and ultimately should be solved with technology. Especially seeing as the market is going to be limited to kidneys, bone marrow, blood, etc. Nobody is going to be selling living hearts.
