  1. In my previous job in risk management we sold tons of K&R policies. From my contacts still in the business, the executive security policies are very popular right now. Especially with the recent healthcare exec murder and the celebration of it. That all being said, it’s hard to make the argument to any particular individual that paying your ransom is a precedent that should not be set. To the family, they don’t really care about the negative externalities of negotiating with terrorists.
