It’s a pretty long interview. They mainly talk about Gavin trying to expand affordability in his state and his history of doing it. Talk some anti Trump stuff. From what I take away. Gavin is positioning himself as the standard slightly centrist dem. One thing that does set him out his for now at least he doesn’t seem to hate republicans like every one in the neolib sub. He does hate Trump though.

I’d like to know his stance on DC/PR statehood, and if it comes to it, expanding the SCOTUS.

Its weird but if Newsom is the candidate I just don’t see him losing.

My biggest beef with the guy is that he’s been in politics for literal decades and the state has gotten worse and worse. Housing costs, losing keystone industries, environmental catastrophes with massive red tape preventing rebuilding, losing massive chunks of cities to anti social behavior… I can go on and on. Plus his handling of COVID wasn’t great, and his visit to the French Laundry was total bullshit.
As a lifelong Californian, I don’t think this dude should be president. Besides being above par is attacking Trump, which isn’t saying much considering how bad congressional leadership is at it, what the hell has this guy even accomplished?
