The new US National Security strategy could have huge ramifications. Will Washington use its massive State Department and intelligence machinery to quietly back russophilic and petty nationalist parties in Europe?
For example with Orban now losing ground—polls put the opposition double-digits ahead despite the rigged system. So we have to wonder: will the US use its full weight to try to shore him up through deniable, indirect channels?
Because a fragmented Europe is easier to manage than a unified geopolitical rival which is really what the new strategy is all about.

The official EU website runs on AWS! The EU can’t even put out a statement on its website without America.
European countries are going to pay the price for allowing themselves to become American vassals. I don’t think the EU can decouple from America without blowing up both economies.

If anything he’s probably an asset for liberals he’s so wildly unpopular that he courses more turnout against the right wing and makes the right struggle to defend whatever idiotic idea Stephen miller brought to him

The smart thing would be the US using its influence to promote further EU integration and power, so that way we can have a reliable and not-evil ally, so of course Trump wants to blow it up, since he wants to cede Europe to Putin.
