Or it could be a total coincidence and her political affiliations were not the motive. She may not have even been the intended target. The police released the suspect in custody (which strongly suggests they’ve concluded he wasn’t the shooter).
We simply don’t know anything yet. The best move right now is not to speculate, just to wait and see.
