  1. That 60-vote filibuster rule only allows the minority party to eventually become the majority party.

    This happens, I believe, because they prevent the majority party from doing meaningful legislation that can really impact people positively, which would keep them voting for that majority if they pass those legislations.

    As an example of this, the current SCOTUS justices are there because they got rid of the 60-vote filibuster rule for judges only.

    That change has made the court more originalist, thus having a positive impact on people.
