Sharif Osman Hadi died from gunshot wounds while undergoing treatment in Singapore yesterday. He was shot Dec. 12 in the capital Dhaka, a day after the Election Commission announced a timeline for a February vote. As news of his death emerged on Thursday, hundreds of his supporters gathered in a square in the capital city to protest. Violence erupted subsequently through parts of Bangladesh. Demonstrators vandalised the offices of Bangladeshi newspapers with one building set on fire. Troops were deployed to the scene, while firefighters rescued journalists trapped inside the building.

There is a news that circulated in BBC Bangla of a guy who got killed coz he was Hindu and there is video circulation as well, it was gruesome how he got lynched. Got killed and was burnt while tied up. It was gruesome my god and everyone there were recording it like it was a basketball match. Bangladesh’s 2024 uprising leaders only strategy is to provoke India by saying they will cut 7 sister states out and get a response from India so they can get votes. Good job by the Indian govt for not responding to them to give them ammo.
Yunus has been nothing but disastrous as an interim leader. Except for smiling, speaking in English and blaming India for everything he did nothing good for the country. Law and order has been nothing but shitty since he took over. He somehow needed 1 1/2 year to conduct elections when Nepal is ready to conduct in 6 months.
