      After being scammed I have now learned that Steam doesn’t restore scammed items after people were caught abusing it so that means my TF2 inventory worth hundreds is now gone, forever. Including my awesome strangle killstreak original worth 500$ CAD by itself

      The fuckers got me by impersonating or outright stealing an account who used to play on the same TF2 servers as me linking a fucking phishing link and I fucking fell for it

      Fuck man, I even had to destroy my fifteen year old Gmail account due them flooding it with spam

      I’m a fucking fool, but lessons sometimes need to be learned the hard way

      Fuck…

      This isn’t even the first scam I’ve fallen for. First time I had to scramble to change all my passwords to everything and download a password manager, second time (also on steam with a similar attempt via steam friends) I immediately changed my passwords only because the highjacked user got his account back and warned me it was a phishing attempt, and the third time they got me.

      I’m so fucking stupid and naive man…

      Best I can do is ignore any and all future steam DMS… not that I’ve got anything fucking left for them to steal…

      This sucks, it’s going to take me a while to mentally and emotionally move past being scammed like this, but at least I’ve still got my account at least, they didn’t get into my banking, I’ve kept my Google account, and now I’ve got new steam password and a new email address/service

      Now that the shooter is revealed to be a 48 year old Portuguese physics/engineering student in the early 2000s, I have not seen a single apology from the right wing racists such as Loomer, Asmonogold, Jordan Schatel, Daily Signal, Millenial Post who either doxed that Brown University Palestinian student and/or heavily implied the shooter is him. The posts with hundreds of upvotes about him on the right wing subs are still up too and many of the tweets with 10,000+ likes.

      Pathetic people. All of them.
