As someone in the arts, it’s been shocking seeing what’s happened to The Kennedy Center over the last several months. Subscriptions are down by over a third and attendance seems to have been cut in half. Broadway shows (notably Hamilton) are skipping the venue on their tours, and the staff exodus has been a bloodbath.
Obviously not the most pressing threat to democracy from the Trump administration but it just makes me sad for the artists and staff trying to do their jobs and who potentially now have to work at the “Trump-Kennedy Center.”

I feel like these changes will be the most temporary. This is such a top down approach that it won’t be maintained when he’s gone.
