Honestly, I don’t really care whether I’m driving an electric car or a gas one, both work fine for my normal driving needs. I’m just sad we still haven’t perfected full self-driving. I just want to be able to drink some coffee and relax as my car ferries me through the joys of rush hour traffic in the morning. We do seem to be getting there though with things like Waymo becoming more prevalent

  2. The EV market has not collapsed. The discontinuance of the tax credit had a predictable effect on sales. Let’s continue to encourage manufacturers to offer the consumer a choice, without govt. mandates. Two classes of vehicles, optimized for different purposes. Electric is great for around town, shorter trips and ICE is the logical choice for interstate and longer trips. Households with two vehicles can reach a greater level of practicality with one of both types and home charging.
