Submission statement: Cracks have been forming in the American right, with sharp disagreements over issues like antisemitism, heritage and lineage, Islamophobia, and immigration. These rifts reveal what the conservative battlegrounds might be post-Trump. My read is that the coalition seems extremely brittle without Trump as a unifying figure.

What a shocker, two of the more prominent minorities — Shapiro a religious minority, Vivek a racial and religious one — are upset that they aren’t feeling too welcome these days by the white supremacist, Christian nationalist movement they thought they could grift off of.
The two important points:
1. The rift in MAGA-world is over which racial, religious, and sexuality and gender minority groups you’re allowed to hate.
2. The official position of the Vice President and almost-certain MAGA nominee (and by extension the President) is that “all of them” is an acceptable answer.
This Ben Shapiro / Candace Owens arc is just so funny. Man spends years cultivating a right wing conspiracy theorist, and is then shocked when she turns on him and goes full mask off antisemite. Conspiracy theorists are intellectually lazy people, so they inevitably end up as antisemites given enough time. Ben apparently did not consider this obvious possibility at all. It’s incredible that he was held up as “the smart one” for so long. You can’t start a movement that professes hatred for basically all minorities (queer people, immigrants, black people, etc.) and then be surprised when they don’t make an exception for you.
