Seems very relevant to this sub as negotiations have been going on in the background for a while now. All in all, this doesn’t strike me as a bad deal at all and fair play to the Ukrainians for getting the Trump admin this much on side over time given where they started with Trump feeding them into the woodchipper at the starting point.

That’s cool, but Russia has signaled a few days ago that they will refuse all Ukraine and Europe approved peace deals, so this is most likely moot

This is completely pointless because Russia won’t agree to this plan anyway. Russia will try to get Trump more on their side again, and either that will work, and the Ukrainians will have to try to get Trump back closer to their side, or Russia will fail to get Trump closer to their side, and it all falls apart again until Trump and Witkoff have a go at another half-assed attempt in a few months.
