I've watched a lot of his interviews and videos about him, and it feels like a lot of people think he secretly controls or runs parts of the U.S. government or tech world. I personally have mixed feelings his actual views on crypto, seasteading, and "zero to one" innovation sound solidly libertarian, but his ties to Palantir and past political endorsements complicate the picture. Does he represent a realistic libertarian path in tech, or is the "Thiel shadow government" narrative just overblown?

You’re kidding, right?
“feels like a lot of people think” *THE GUY WHO HAS EXPRESSLY STATED HE IS IN THE ACTIVE PROCESS OF TAKING OVER OUR ENTIRE GOVERNMENT* “secretly controls or runs parts of the U.S. government or tech world.”
“Does” *THE GUY WHO IS RABIDLY BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR A RUTHLESS AI SURVEILLANCE STATE* “represent a realistic libertarian path in tech?”
I don’t fucking know, my guy. Truly, I haven’t the foggiest here. Hm…
I know one thing. When I became a libertarian when I was a young lad, my first thought was definitely with regards to how eagerly I’d suck a techno-fascist peen so long as I get to keep my BTC.
Yes, If the Trump administration can salvage their rule from their self inflicted wounds. If the rule turns out as a flop JD might face Newsom and the same faith as Kamala.
inb4 somebody points out that Peter Thiel is an anagram for “The Reptile”
Dude was literally raised in a Nazi enclave. Look it up.
He and his cohorts and their company Palantir are literally the harbingers of the technocratic dystopia we have all suspected and dreaded. How it’s gonna play out is still not clear, but what he is doing and the end result of his game very obviously does not make human beings any freer or aid the goals of peace and personal liberty. Indeed it’s quite the opposite.
We are at the crossroads of 1984 and Brave New World.
If you’re asking whether or not the conjecture surrounding him is overblown? I lean towards no. There’s a reason he is so shaky in every interview. The man knows what he is doing, and he is terrified.
doubt it, will probably get a dem 2028, probably aoc, it will be the new funny
It seems like it and it should concern everyone
Literally no one actually likes JD, not the left, or the right, I don’t see how he’s a viable candidate at all
This thread is brain rot
i sure hope not.
