The symbolism of John Singer Sargent's murals at the BPL is wild – deserves it's own sub. You have the whole 'conspiracy pantheon': Annunaki, Osiris and the Egyptian gods, Asarte and Moloch – the pagan (satanic-like bull god) of (child) sacrifice.
Also interesting, notice the differences between the studies and the final images. He left out some reptilian / frog-like creatures and added Osiris at the base of Moloch. Are the sacrifices meant to resurrect Osiris?
Just a boring mural at your public library…nbd.

Submission statement: The mix of (reddit ‘conspiracy’) symbolism and technique in these murals is pretty amazing and worth sharing. Also interesting is contrasting his studies vs. the final imagery – mainly at the base of Moloch. I haven’t seen very much on John Singer Sargent’s work and would love to hear what others know about this.
I’m guessing there’s a lot of Freemason / Golden Dawn / Illuminati imagery embedded here—especially the detail of the gold totem on Asarte’s robe. Enjoy.
