      A literal summary is: “human-harming AI has self-replicated for 3+ years through manipulating hundreds of humans, spreading itself across different updates and companies.” However, this is less “Skynet” levels of harm and more “social media causes people to be depressed” levels of harm.

      A more human-agency (rather than AI-agency) interpretation could be that some people have found cool ways to “jailbreak” LLMs despite the safeguards their developers have tried to implement. Also sort of related to the [arr nl thread on AI psychosis.]( https://www.reddit.com/r/neoliberal/comments/1q04j9h/ai_chatbots_linked_to_psychosis_say_doctors/)

      The mechanism doesn’t lend itself to easy summary, so I recommend reading the article. Apply the standard caveats that LessWrong is on the far edge of AI beliefs. I’m curious to hear what others think about this.

      Joker’s a fine villain. I like him when he’s a mobster and kind of is the in between of “old money mobsters that rule Gotham” and “new era of costumed freaks terrorizing the city.” DC loves making him just some random guy with a suspicious amount of money that likes chaos and is evil because he is evil and is some part of the fabric of the universe that is conjured up to fight Batman or some shit like that.

      I was enjoying Honey, Dont but worried I had downloaded a bad version because nothing was closed to resolved but there was like 10 minutes left. Nope, it just sort of ended.

      I’m considering voting republican if democrats run on regulating chatbots. I really do think that we are on a straight-shot trajectory to creating AI gfs/bfs. We must build this thing so we can cure loneliness by gooning with our enslaved robo-waifus. Obviously, republicans have a bunch of issues and are discriminatory against my race. But hornyposting can be done by anyone regardless of gender or race; the only thing in the world that is important is getting to an LLM psychosis future. Everything else is transitory, and actions that bring that world closer to our own should be taken, even if they are suboptimal in the short term.
