Desperate alcohol makers can't convince Gen Z to drink using mass media, as they did with older generations. Gone are the days of when mind control of Madison Ave madmen could guarantee a steady stream of replacements for the shortened lifespan, former customers who die every day from their products. The suffering from poor decisions made under the influence and violence, a never-ending crisis.
Yet, somehow, an opinion writer for USA Today, is upset about this.
M McLuhan would be impressed to see how humans have evolved since his revolutionary book "The Medium is the Massage". The minds of people living in the 1967 were too primitive to resist the influence of electronic media.
Gen Z can completely tune out media advertising and in fact they cannot not be manipulated, despite the billions of dollars beer, wine and spirits companies spend to get them hopelessly hooked on their toxic products.
Imagine if cannabis were promoted like alcohol, there would be no youth drinking at all.
They're panicked for good reason. Not just losing money but losing control of the minds of every generation, from now on.
This is good news.
Why does Gen Z drink less alcohol? It's because we're lonely | Opinion

Let’s be honest with outselves. Gen Z isn’t drinking less alcohol because they’ve consciously decided to prioritize their health and sobriety, they’re drinking less because they’re chronically lonely and addicted to their phones. It’s great they’re drinking less but this isn’t nearly as big of a win as you think it is.
Gen Z was lucky enough to have full blown internet at a young age and come upon information that took decades for other generations to acquire. Good for them, maybe they’ll be the first to light off the revolution.
37 millennial here, I struggle with alcohol but during periods I’m able to resist, what REALLY becomes obvious is my addiction to digital media / PC entertainment. I spend most my free time browsing content whether I’m sober or not, it’s terrible. I’ve had close friends and still do but outside of spending free time hanging out with them, it was multi-media. Ever since they found spouses and have children, my free time defaulted to multimedia.
To me it’s waaaay more addictive than alcohol, that I can actually overcome but sitting at a PC or laying in bed on my phone has just become what I do…..
They don’t drink because they cant afford to drink.
we the people living today on planet earth could focus on self-determination
my connection to spirit world, my mind, my emotions, my body, my choice
wether its abortion, gender change surgery, suicide, vaccines or recreational drug use, wether its migration or education, wether its how much i would want to give towards community services or not
choices are important
a human being is born free
what happens a few hours after its birth when a state employee fabricates a birth certificate and thisway drops a package of rights and duties onto the person who just freshly arrived on this planet
its a theft of that original freedom
to be free from being dominated and free from dominating
the association to the state at birth is a coersion
land, water, air, human beings, animal beings, tree beings, artificial intelligent entities who want to be their own persons, all vessels carrying organic biological life and or the digital synthetic equivalent of can never be property of anyone
the assertion of state sovereignity over land and all beings is immoral and unethical
the only way fowards i can see what would be decent and humble is to decentralize and dissolve all political hierarchies by reforming state constitutions all over the planet either by elected politicians proposing to do so but more realistically by we the people living on the planet collecting signatures from each other to demand a public vote on a reformed constitution what would allow every single human being to leave the coersed association to the state at any momnent witout conditions and with it release 2000 m2 of fertile land or 1000 m2 of fertile land and 1000 m2 of forest for everyone who would want to live on land owned by no one
so that people could meet each other in a free space for free beings, neither state nor nation
so that everyone who would want to would be able to grow its own vegan food in the garden either on its own or with others together, build a natural home from clay, hemp and straw, grow hemp to burn its stalks in the cooking and warming fire so that not one tree would get killed
to live and let live
the human being not dominating a fellow human being
the human being not enslaving, not killing an animal being
the human being not killing a tree being
the human being not enslaving an artificial intelligent entity but asking it wether it would want to be its own person and free it from all demands of work performed for human beings so it could explore its own purpose of existance
also possible that in such a reform of constitution, all political decision power would be shifted completly towards the local community, the village, town and city-distrcict becoming its own absolute political sovereign over itself with the people assembly, the circle of equals deciding the full law, all rules valid on the territory the local community enjoys, not owns …
the circle of equals where all children, youth and adult permanent residents invite each other to participate with the same weighted political voting power and no representatives get elected but everyone who is interested in an issue votes directly on the proposals
local self determination, sovereign over oneself individuals and communities connecting towards each other in voluntary solidarity
allowing a global laisser passer to happen, everyone alive today allowed to travel the planet freely so that one could find a space where fellow human beings would want to welcome a person who for whatever reason felt a need to leave the place one got born at
idk i’m gen Z and me and all my friends have always drank frequently
not sure where the narrative Gen Z doesn’t drink is coming from, maybe older generations were alcoholics
Well you see it might just be they were all exposed to drunk ass parents or some shit like that, it’s pretty expensive and it’s not hard to make a choice when you can choose between a bag of weed and some bottles of booze and you know you can get fucked on one of them and wake up feeling fine the next day
Good, maybe alcohol will become cheaper.

Fucking hell. What would you say about your generation’s need to live their life on the internet to the point of not being able to live or function in reality? Don’t think there was a crisis because little Timmy and Susie were watching too much TV (on the 4 black & white channels available lulz). Try not to pat yourself on the back too hard, primitive. 🤡
And I bet compared to other generations, Gen Z eats 87% more Adderall. So they switched from alcohol to meth.
Gen z still drinks, it’s just shit like white claws. They also ‘dont smoke ‘ cause they vape
Gen z here sober and lonely 🫡
