Modern Christianity emphasizes personal testimony over EVERYTHING (including scripture itself). If you were an “ex”-porn star or an “ex” violent criminal you are elevated over everyone else. Unfortunately most churches are just places people go to hear a 10 minute TED talk and 50 minutes of crappy music.
If anyone is interested in Christianity- real Christianity I’d suggest you pick up a KJV bible and start reading. Most churches don’t want you reading the bible.

As a Christian, constantly seeing these headlines do get me confused. On one hand I love seeing people leave behind an immoral and sinful life to change for the better… but on the other hand it’s always young onlyfans stars after making millions over and over agaig. It gets to the point where are they *actually* leaving it behind, or is this a psyop to get Christianity more open to sexual exploration. And to make things worse, the one who *truely* do repent and leave that life behind, are now dragged into the same mud as those who do not. I think modern Christianity should emphasise repentance a bit harder, and protect the Christian denomination from those who aim to transgress against them. Jesus can forgive, but others shouldn’t forget the shit these hoes get down to. It seems quite often the case that evil people use Jesus and Christianity as a get out of jail free card.

This isn’t even anything new. The porn industry is rife with abuse survivors, trafficking, drug addiction, and more abuse and exploitation.
By the time they break the cycle, they either find god to do so or did so because they found god. Then they become outspoken against the abuses they endured and Christianity happens to have the biggest platform in fighting the porn industry.
If anything, I bet we see this happen less and less as people are able to get into onlyfans for themselves and maintain autonomy and even anonymity if they choose.

This is just what Cultural Christianity looks like. 90% of people that I have ever worked with in the local church operate on a “its my life Monday through Saturday, and I’ll give $20 to God on Sunday morning.” attitude.
