I know most of the feelings on here have been that Walz should drop out. But I am unclear what exactly he did wrong?
Reading through this summary it seems most of it was overblown and prosecuted? And the stuff Shirly brought up seems to be bs.

Reading up on Feed our Future it seems they got local Minnseota politicians to support them. When the fraud was first brought up they sued and the judge ruled in their favor. So again I am unclear why Dems are not pushing back on this? They need to be fighting more, not giving in.

Klob running means Schatz is even more of a sure thing to replace Schumer down the road. Clears the decks in Senate Dem leadership.

Guy was too nice
feels like this is the best outcome with how ridiculous the circus around the “fraud” has been by R’s. Mountains out of mole hills

not a political winner of a message.
i don’t get why people love the guy. just drop and let someone else run against pillow guy
He definitely mishandled the issue, he even admitted to it. It’s the right move to drop out, but what sucks is that it seems like he’s dropping out because of Nick Shirley’s bullshit.
o7
I agree with him on some issues but FOH with this Minnesota Nice nonsense
Shit like this is why no one respects Democrats or takes them seriously. Any GOPer in Walz’s position would’ve dug in and cried partisan hit job, knowing the storm would pass with time.
Such a shame, Walz should be where Vance is rn.
My guess is they aren’t pushing back because the court of public opinion has already ruled. Propaganda and disinformation almost always win if the shock value is high enough. People don’t have the attention span to watch a rebuttal video or do any more digging outside of social media. American voters don’t have the mental capacity to think past a reel.
Walz got a ton of negative attention from the GOP after becoming the VP candidate and went from one of the most to least popular governors. I don’t think it’s just the Somali stuff, but I’m going to assume polling was generally pretty weak and having Walz drop out takes a ton of national attention off the race.
Either way it’s a shame because he’s been such an effective governor for Minnesota.
Sad, How do you mess this up? The things Dems will do to not appear racist and be on the side of Trump. Being soft on crime is never good
Why would klobuchar run? She just won reelection. If walz wants to run away from this let Tina Smith run instead
