To preface, I never thought I would say something like this, but I hope Ben Shapiro is right and that Trump does not mean what he says. If we launch an invasion on Greenland, I am unsure how it can be even framed as a neocon liberation project or “counter-terrorism” procedure. It would be just bonafide terrorism justified on revanchism like what Putin does….The US would not have any legs to criticize China for invading Taiwan either too.

I like to think Trump’s wranglers have a [Victoria 2 map like ISIS](https://www.reddit.com/r/victoria2/s/MJwOSuOCtF) and after coloring Venezuela with American blue he’s now very excited to paint Greenland.
The US president invading Greenland and not being immediately impeached and removed feels like an event horizon.
Also, all of our allies need to leverage every ounce of economic and diplomatic power they can against us if this happens. No half-measures. Cut us off in every way possible. Ban American tourists, shut down embassies, evict US military personnel, stop all trade. It will hurt them too, but appeasing Donald Trump and letting him just take territory will hurt more in the long run- and I’m willing to bet he’d back off if everyone actually stood up to him and caused economic turmoil for the American public.
