The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen released a statement early Wednesday morning accusing Southern Transitional Council leader Zubaidi of having “fled” after he missed a scheduled flight to Riyadh. According to the coalition, Zubaidi had agreed to travel to the capital to engage in talks with the head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, about the situation in the country.

I don’t really understand all the factions in this war. Just that both the government and the separatists both also hate the Houthis more.

This article understates just how far the STC’s government has collapsed. There are Saudi/government troops known to be in Aden, and there have now been separate reports of Aden airport, the Judicial Centre and the Presidential Complex all falling to them now. As far as I can tell, “the restored South Yemen” only lasted two days before capitulating.
