As ambassadors from the EU Member States met for preliminary talks, the NYT reports that the officials would rather negotiate with the US than retaliate. The daily suggests that Europe has been hesitant to retaliate against the United States because it relies on America for military technologies and support for NATO. It contrast the signals that the bloc is ready to deploy the bloc’s anti-coercion instrument against the US. Leaders of all the EU member states will meet on Tuesday for a so called “extraordinary meeting”.

How many times do people have to try and negioate with Trump to realize it is pointless.

Trump’s tariffs are over the EU military exercises in Denmark sovereign territory, which he threatened to conquer, what is there to negotiate? “Yes, we’ll pull the troops out of Greeland”?
