I am not surprised that Morocco accepted the invite. Morocco will do everything it can diplomatically to maintain the favor it receives from the West over Algeria. For Morocco, joining this board just helps them get Trump even more on their side. It is funny that a country the US banned from immigration is given preferential treatment.
Morocco has also agreed to send soldiers to Gaza to participate in the stabilization force.
I also agree with France’s objections. Trump obviously just wants to get rid of the UN and be the chairperson/global leader. Who TF is going to agree to pay 1 billion (way way more funding than the US ever paid the UN) just for Trump alone to maintain global veto over global politics.
Carney said he accepts, but then sources say Canada doesn’t believe in paying to get a permanent seat? Overall a big mess
