I know it’s not exactly the point of the article but the fact that the only thing keeping people from being feral dickheads in national parks is the possibility of getting a citation from a ranger is very sad
Hell even when they’re there people just ignore them the second they go away. Remember people climbing on various arches and stuff around Moab and getting scolded by a ranger just to immediately resume once they walked away. And of course they’re teaching their kids that this is fine too
