      Itā€™s so interesting to me how two people can grow up in the exact same circumstances and come away with two different sets of values.

      Growing up in a United Methodist Chuch, the values of social justice and never expecting a reward in return for helping others was something prevalent that stuck with me. Over time, the values I was taught transformed me into a die-hard liberal and a borderline anarchist in some ways.

      Meanwhile, a friend of mine who grew up in the exact same church and has actually read the Bible many times believes Trump is the chosen one, America is gods chosen people and better than everyone else, and we should not give empathy/sympathy to ā€˜illegal aliensā€™ because ā€œHeaven has the strictest borders; America should have the same. We are not a charityā€. This guy did charity drives with me as a kid helping the homeless, yet unironically thinks we should ā€˜purgeā€™ our homeless population nowadays. Heā€™s a Baptist now.

      My lifestyle is so 90s Full House esque sitcom in the sense that all my friends know I have an open door policy

      But sometimes that means they show up like a day before my colon operation and commandeer two days of my time
