Police taking down suspects are good at what they do. Good enough, in fact, that a legislator steering blindly from the other end of the country has little help of **doing better by stepping in and grabbing the controls.**
We have drones and computerized everything now, a lot of modern “chases” are just picking the suspects up at their home when their car gets there. Stopping a car dead in the middle of traffic could cause a road wreck, which is what pursuing officers are using their human brains to try to ***prevent.*** Remote technicians can’t make the same judgment calls trained police on the scene can.
It’s an absurd overreach. New cars already have ‘black boxes’ that record tons of information which is already bad enough.
Hard to believe that any R would have voted for this BS.
