EU and Council of Europe agree to set up an advance team for the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine

The EU and Council of Europe agreed to set up an advance team for a Ukraine aggression tribunal. It will prepare legal, institutional and logistical foundations for prosecuting senior Russian leaders. The European Union will fund the project with €10m, initially for up to 24 months.
Unless the war ends with a russian loss, this tribunal is not likely to see any defendants
