  1. >Russia said Wednesday it was “no longer bound” by limits on the number of nuclear warheads it could deploy, as its last arms control treaty with the United States looked set to expire.

    >The New START agreement will end Thursday, formally releasing both Moscow and Washington from a raft of restrictions on their nuclear arsenals.

  2. Goes both ways boys. It’s *WILD* that Russia acts like the US should be more afraid of them than they should be of us…

  3. If the Russian nuclear arsenal is in the same state of readiness as the Russian air force apparently was for the Ukraine campaign, most of their claimed 6000 warheads don’t work and are filled with gravel.

  4. Who cares? What does it matter if they have enough to blow up the world 10x or 100x? Either way the result is the same. Treaties like these are not doing much to prevent some sort of nuclear weapon being used. These treaties just make people feel good because mutually assured destruction doesn’t sound as nice.

The biggest change in number of nuclear bombs is a country going from having 0 to having 1. No other number, cap or treaty means as much. And this treaty ending doesn’t change much.

  5. Like it fucking matters…the US and Russia each had 4-5,000 last I checked. It only takes 50 +- to wipe out half the world, and even if 90% got intercepted it still fucks up half the world. Doesn’t matter who fires it or who it’s intended for, we are all fucked.

A nuclear race of who has the most is the most pointless thing ever 😂
