    It’s still good nonetheless that the administration feels the need to at least appear to be backing down, as that shows they know they are on the losing side of this issue. But I’m not holding my breath yet.

    They *were not doing this to begin with*, as seen in the case of the Hmong man who was mistakenly detained in search of a man who was already in the prison system. They want headcount because heads equals success, and they don’t care what that entails, because MacNamara taught us nothing.

    I’d like to hear any actual information out of DHS. How many agents are being withdrawn? When? They claimed they were drawing operations down after the Pretti murder, and that seems to have meant only 700 agents out of thousands. They’re still not giving us anything tangible.
