i feel the hike in vehicle recycling fees was basically a last ditch measure to prevent Chinese carmakers from totally obliterating the Russian competition

also, some Chinese car brands are orienting themselves towards Western market, such as Chery, which left Russia altogether recently

the imbalance between the Chinese and Russian economies is funny in a way

Russia can’t comprehend that Chinese companies avoid localisation as much as possible.

They wont build capacity in Russia when they have overcapacity at home. It would be dumb and would risk their chances in Europe

European carmakers are barelty waiting for an excuse to restrict Chinese competition access to Europe

  3. Mexicos car industry is getting devastated lol.

It took 20+ years to build it up and it being shaken to its core.

Tariffs are going to come in hot.
