Thought this was timely as we see the crumbling of all journalism happening right before our eyes.
Who knew that prestige media, an industry now made entirely of nepo babies, would be terrible?
“Both sides” only works when both sides are living in the same reality. The Fox News crowd that CBS and Fallon want to avoid offending will never give them the time of day unless they become Fox News
Kind of fascinating how disconnected political power and cultural power are in this country.
I am so tired of media that’s just criticism of other media for not talking about the right things in things right way.
These articles are completely masturbatory. They assume the reader already agreeds with them. They make no case that Republicans don’t deserve the reader’s vote in the next election, or that Democrats do.
Politics is about gaining and using power. Liberals need to take the concept seriously and stop acting like the point of pubic discourse is to bitch about people who aren’t sufficiently faithful to the cause instead of to persuade the persuadable voter that their team is deserving of power.
