The Pentagon has just featured Doug Wilson at its worship service. Doug Wilson has previously gotten into controversies for defending slavery, and knowingly oversaw the wedding of a serial child molester, and defending another during investigation. Both reoffended. Wilson says he has no regrets.

In 2005, Wilson asked an investigating officer who was responding to an incident of child sex assault under his Church for leniency, providing a narrative that softened the punishment of the pedophile, who then subsequently tried to strangle his wife to death. Doug Wilson also knowingly officiated the wedding of Steven Sitler, a serial sex offender, against the wishes of his parole officer. Sitler later reoffended on his infant son.

Sitler has responded to the last incident several times, to defend his decision. He says he has no regrets.

Possible government attempt to normalize pedophilia. I assume there was literally any number of pastors who didn’t get into a nation-wide scandal after officiating the marriage of a pedophile that they could’ve gotten.
