I was in the audience when Alysa won worlds last year and I have never experienced anything like it. She had the crowd in the palm of her hands, and there were 15000 people going absolutely wild for her.

Can someone who follows figure skating explain to me how scoring works? Do they combine the scores for the qualifier round and for finals?
Amber Glenn got a lot of heat from right wingers for being too woke as well. It looks like she recovered well in the finals but it wasn’t enough to offset her poor performance in the qualifiers for her to podium. Not sure I’m understanding how it all works.
