It’s stuff like this that keeps making scoff at the notion that Democrats are defenders of Democracy. I’m old enough to remember when Jay Leno had Arnold Schwarzenegger on his show when he was running for governor. Leno was accused of violating the equal time clause, and without hesitation (at least to my memory, please don’t hold me to that) had every single gubernatorial candidate on his show; the porn star running for governor flashed her boobs.
Compare that sequence of events with this whole situation (along with my personal belief that Colbert is part of Obama’s behind the scenes manipulation) plus the fact that the past three Democratic primaries have had sketchy results *at best*, and I just cannot fathom that any of these people are trying to defend Democracy.
