this article broke me. im sobbing reading the stories of those poor young girls who yearn for their home, of the father who doesnt feel like he belongs where he grew up, the mother who gave it all up to keep her family together. what a terrible, terrible situation, and what a terrible government we have.

For some reason I thought this was Ted Cruz & his family. Disappointing.
My great grandparents emigrated here from (now) Czechia, Poland, Sicily, and Germany in the 1890s/early 1900s
They broke their backs, so their children would have severe backpain, so their children’s children would have backpain, so their children’s children’s children would thrive.
And now we do this.
