Good. Anybody know what the current federal student debt portfolio is right now? About $1.6 trillion. With a T. And if we prevent student loan forgiveness, we’re still like only going to get back about two-thirds of it.
This might be a hot take, but honestly, just get rid of Title IV already. The Bennett Hypothesis may as well not be a hypothesis anymore, numerous studies have shown that Title IV eligible schools tend to have higher tuition than non-eligible ones. College degrees have essentially suffered from their own form of inflation. They’re incredibly devalued and, in my experience, most employers would rather have relevant experience than a fresh degree. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of debt you’re incurring just to end up at a job that may not even pay you a median salary.
