The US and Israel killing hundreds of senior IRGC officers + publically stating they want regime change (even saying Iran’s map will change!) means Iran has nothing to lose anymore.

Trump asking for a ceasefire was laughed at by the Iranians – why would they ever in a million years trust the US again.

What is the political off-ramp here? Trump is saying that he wants a “total surrender”. He can’t even hypothetically do that without boots on the ground….
