The “we” is doing a lot of work in this statement.
The “we” is definitely US oil companies who may indeed make a lot of money as US production increases. And the US Government due to increased tax revenue.
However, the “we” may not be apparent to US motorists who will pay more at the pump.
Of the countries producing oil, the United States remains the world’s leading player due to shale production in the Permian Basin. The United States generates about 20.1 million barrels of oil per day, accounting for roughly 20.8% of global production.
