I'm a little embarrassed to post here and I feel silly for even considering this take, but I'm finding this VERY interesting. I am researching the strikes on Kharag Island announced today, and I'm a bit of a geography dork so I pull the map out to see what might've been hit- Rocket platforms, maybe jets, a military base, etc. While clicking on sites to see what they are, I see some Americans posting the "boot in your ass" tik tok edits as reviews for local businesses, all posted within the last few hours since the strikes were made public. Jokes and memes, that's all. Then I found this guy…

I intentionally withheld his name, and I implore you to respect privacy since this is PURE SPECULATION, but I found the circumstances around his posts weird. So this person has a regular google review history, 9+ years all in America, nothing abnormal. Then, 4 days ago he posts nine 1-star reviews with no description (out of the ordinary based on his history) on Kharag Island. So- this American was on an Iranian island 10 days after the start of a major international conflict. Post his most-ever commentless reviews, all 1-star, all on a single day in his first ever international trip, according to his history. 48-96 hours after posting, his country would coincidentally strike strategic assets on that very island, while keeping the oil production in-tact. My conspiracy here? Well, if militants were encamped on the island, where would they stay? Some might argue at these specific lodging sites, if reconnaissance corroborates. I'm not willing to go so far as to say covert operations are happening in plain sight, but I do find the situation circumstantially abnormal. What do you think?

My Occam's Razer- This dude must be a GCC-stationed oil worker from America, abroad for work & was rejected lodging everywhere for being American in Iran. He gets extricated 10 days after the war starts. Once in internet range, He gives the google review middle finger to all the places that rejected him. I expect 2 days from now satellite images will show that none of these sites got hit.

  1. NASA worldwide fire map shows fires in almost all these places. They look to be oil refining locations. I encourage you to check for yourself.

Submission Statement- This post is relevant to the sub, as the circumstances surrounding the situation described are unusual considering the geopolitical climate & timeline of posts vs military operations on this 20 kilometers-square region. Considering the legacy of ashes the CIA is known for, this is ripe for conspiratorial speculation. I found it organically, I find it very interesting, and I don’t know any other community that would accept this level of speculation.

One last detail- the only non-lodging place reviewed was the largest Jetty on the island, which would not support my Occam’s razer theory and would definitely seem like a strategic target considering the strait of Hormuz closure. Food for thought.
