Well of course
This whole thing about “Trump begging China for help” was a political play to force China to either: submit to a US-led coalition to secure the Strait
Or
Force them to formally cement their status as a free-rider, further damaging their credibility as a reliable partner
We don’t really need China on this, this is about the Dollar vs. the Yuan and forcing them into a weird spot
Think about it: there is really no play for China here where they come out looking good and strong, and advancing their geopolitical agenda
It’s a genius play that of course the entirety of Reddit is choosing to misunderstand
Given that China is sending ships to Taiwan, looks to me like the Strait will reopen under the Dollar
