I can already see the post-Trump MAGA movement latch onto a “stab-in-the-back” anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. E.g. “Jews influenced Trump to betray us!”

Man did he play this wrong. He attempts to hand Trump an off-ramp narrative, but it requires Trump to admit he was duped. Now Trump has to dig into being pro-war even more firmly to stave off humiliation.
