Don’t forget about the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System in the Mojave Desert that cost $2.2 BILLION (a massive solar thermal power plant).
Was supposed to be the future of renewable energy, ended up not being sustainable, and after all that money invested they moved to shut it down this year. Some are skeptical about shutting it down because of the insane money that went into this.
