If he does, I am sure some federal district judge will rule that he can’t do that, until higher courts overturn them.
The Iran situation doesn’t meet Article 5, even though they’ve sponsored terrorism and proxies, by the letter of the Article it doesn’t apply, and Israel is not a NATO member, so you can’t bring them up.
I don’t love NATO and really appreciate the pressure Trump has put on them in regards to spending, but leaving would be a mistake. We’d start to lose our military bases and access in Europe, weakening our influence and reach.
That might be a good move. If article 5 is the only intervention waiting until a foe attacks you is often not the best plan
