TBF, her country contains the Vatican (even if it’s its own sovereign state), and the Vatican likely has a lot of influence in Italian politics. I’d doubt she would want to ruffle feathers there with the world’s most wealthy and influential Christian sect with diocese all over the earth.

I’m not really a fan of this Pope(or the last one), but I REALLY wish Trump would quit fighting with him and just accept that the Pope and the POTUS have 2 different(though sometimes overlapping) sets of responsibilities.
