Many blue states (i.e. run by democrats) have proposed or enacted a wealth tax & exit tax.

I'm in California, so some of this hits close to home. The state gets us good. Taxes as far as the eye can see. Heck, even around half of our high gas prices are due to taxes, fees, and the state-imposed, and more expensive "summer blend", which many on the left conveniently omit/forget when they gripe about their gas prices. In fact, CA democrats have proposed charging a tax per mile driven in *addition* to insanely high taxes & prices at the pump.
